The Church Elder

The Universal Church of Jesus Christ (UCJC) originates from the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is a divinely unique church in its spiritual interpretation and teaching of the word of God. This spiritual teaching has been revealed by God Himself through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to the messenger of own choice. It has been revealed in 1971 to a humble messenger by the name of Jean Mwambi Kadima Mulaya (well known among church believers and followers as Papa Kady) who later became the founder of the Universal Church of Jesus Christ

As soon as he received the message through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, as a good teacher, Kadima started teaching the message of God to a small number of people known as apostles of first generation who, later on became a whole generation. These ones in their turn taught the same message to the second, third and fourth generation.

The Universal Church of Jesus Christ has grown up from a small congregation of few individuals to a huge assembly of thousand and thousand people worldwide. The church is currently represented in each continent by hundreds and hundreds of Christians and believers who firmly adhere to the church statement of beliefs or doctrines.

About UCJC in the UK - Station of Birmingham

In the United Kingdom, The Universal Church of Jesus Christ (UCJC) is recognised as a registered charitable organisation [Charity No. 1145514] and a multi-purpose faith organisation with community development at the heart of all its Evangelical Outreach. It was established on 26/09/2011 as a church group dedicated to tackling the causes and effects of poverty, exclusion and discrimination by empowering individuals and communities to encounter God in everyday life and connect faith with actions.

  • Charitable Objects

As a Registered Charity, we have a governing document (a constitution), agreed with the Charity Commission, which sets out our Charitable Aims (known as 'Objects') and how we are governed.

The Charity's objects ("the objects") are as follows:

  1. To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Beliefs in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Trustees from time to time may think fit;
  2. To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind, including through the provision of counselling and support in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Trustees from time to time may think fit; and
  3. To advance education in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Trustees from time to time may think fit.

Our main object is to

  • Preach the wisdom of God and to respond in faith to the call of the Holy Spirit through the Gospel and to unite together to proclaim a God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 1 Corinthians 2: 7 – 8.

  • To proclaim the Good News of Christ through worship, ministry and charitable actions to meet human needs without discrimination: "Faith without deeds is dead" - James 2: 14-26.

  • Provide general support to both deprived members of the church and non-members across the UK includingadvocacy, advice, information, education, training and the relief of poverty and representation in key policy areas. Luke 10:25-37.
  • Governance

The organization has a General Assembly consisting of founding members and other members who have joined the association after its establishment to oversee and deal with all policy issues. It has also a managing board (management committee) of 4 members to decide on major administrative matters and oversee major developments and guide its operations. The Management Committee consists of a Chairperson to deal and execute day-to-day administrative and managerial matters, a Secretary, a Treasurer and committee member.

The Management Committee is entrusted with the main task of overseeing and implementing decisions passed by the General Assembly. They also manage the day-to-day activities and operations of the organisation with the help of 5 volunteers.

Our statement of belief or doctrine

The Universal Church of Jesus Christ is a completely spiritual church and is built upon the belief that God is spirit, He can be understood and worshiped only spiritually. Therefore, the UCJC understands and endorses that the word of God is spiritual and in this way the way the UCJC worships God is different from the way other faith groups worship. The UCJC interprets the whole Bible spiritually (from Genesis to Revelation). Thus all the biblical stories, tales, narrations and accounts, all the people called in the Bible (like Abraham, Moses, etc., the passage through the Jordan, Baptism, etc.) appears spiritually. John 4:23-24; John 7:37-38; Eph 4:18-25, 1 Cor 2:9, 13; 1 Cor 10:11.

Unlike many churches in this world which consider the Bible as it is literary written and spiritually teach half-truths, the UCJC believes that God’s message is wholly spiritual. The churches of this world interpret God’s message on the basis of objective realities which we have, we can see, we can touch, we can feel, we can smell or we can hear, thus they work with the material objects (e.g. they see water materially, baptism, tithe, bread, offering, clothes, Armageddon, Sabbath, money, etc. physically) in the exercise of their worship or the worship of God. When the Bible speaks, for example, of the creation of the world, the terrestrial Church thinks of the creation of the visible world in which we live.

The UCJC testifies Christ i.e. shows the real spiritual meaning of the writings. It reveals the hidden meaning of the Word of God.  2 Cor 3:6; Gal 3:22; Rom 7:14; Heb 10:1; Heb 8:5-6; Col 2:16-17.

From Genesis to Revelation, the Word of God is to be interpreted according to the wisdom of God.   2 Tim 3:16.
